Matthew B. Jarmel, AIA, MBA (Matt) is an American architect and real estate developer. He is the President of Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, Inc. Graduating first in his class, he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, School of Architecture, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Development and Urban Land Use from Rutgers University.

Matt has expertise as a general practitioner with strong experience in commercial design including office design, (new buildings and interiors), multifamily housing and early education / childcare centers. He is also an expert on land entitlement strategies and real estate financing, skills which he uses both advising clients on the development process, but also for developing projects on his own account.

Matthew has qualified as an expert witness and testified before Municipal Planning and Zoning Boards, Redevelopment Authorities, and the Court System on land planning and development projects. He has provided expert commentary and has written articles for the following publications: The New York Times, The Star Ledger, NJ Biz, Real Estate New Jersey, Real Estate Weekly, Brandweek, and The Trenton Times.
